Our Story
Our journey to Better Sleep, Strength, and Health
My wife Kit and I built My Vitality Kit from our own journey to better health — not from theory, but from experience.
We both grew up active. Rugby, swimming, surfing — movement was always part of life. For years, we believed staying active was enough to stay healthy. When life got stressful, we trained harder.Â
Eventually, that approach caught up with us.
Even with our backgrounds — mine in physical education and coaching, and Kit’s in physiotherapy — we found ourselves exhausted at times, stretched thin, and running on empty. Then came parenthood. Four children, busy careers, and broken sleep quickly showed us something important:
You cannot perform well, think clearly, or feel healthy without good sleep.
The birth of our third child became a turning point. Sleep deprivation hit hard, and we realised that the main tool of exercise which we had relied on to feel good over the years couldn't fix constant fatigue. Kit began studying sleep science in depth, while I experienced first-hand the pressures of disrupted sleep and stress during parental leave.
We didn’t just read about sleep — we tested what worked in real life.
Over time, we rebuilt our health holistically. We focused on improving sleep first, strengthening and nourishing our bodies properly, and learning how to make sustainable changes that actually lasted.
That journey became the foundation of My Vitality Kit.

Everything we teach has been tested in real life — in our own family, in clinics, in classrooms, and with the people we've worked with over the years.
